When I was my childhood I loved paintings, drawings with chalks, pastels, water colours, pencils etc. Thats the way spiritually touch my heart. Very soon I'll post some pictures drew by me. And I love some artists too. Not only local SriLankan, but European Davinci, Angelo etc... I want to post some articles and pictures about that I drew. Before that, I'd like to mention here some facts regarding local artist that I loved. His name is Solias Mendis. What the fantastic effort he done for "Kelani Vihara" paintings. (one of paint here; see this one)

He looked a simple villager from Madampe, like just another Appuhamy or Heen Banda with traditional hair knot (Konde). When Dr. Marianze, the world famous Art Conservator sent to Ceylon by UNESCO (to help preserve the Sigiri Frescoes that had been damaged by vandals in 1968) was introduced to Walimuni Solias Mendis by Dr. Raja de Silva, (our one time Archaeological Commissioner) Mendis and Dr. Marianze just gazed at each other in wonderment. There was stoic silence and the two, the simple villager and the world renowned Art Conservator smiled. No doubt that moment recorded a rare greeting.

Thats a wonderful painting! I should love to see what you put up next.
I have a twin brother. His name is Raymond, if you look on the side of my page, there's a link to his blog.
I know the TCCC looks fun, I'm sorry you don't have the opportunity to do that; the only reason I get to do things like this is because I am a soldier, so its part of the job.
I want to see another lovely post from you man.. Nice ideas...
